Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series smartphones will not be released in the classic black color. MacRumors reported this, citing the insider "Instant Digital."
According to reports, the company is abandoning the black color option for its next-generation premium models. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max were the first flagships in the brand's history to lack black or dark gray variants; they are currently produced only in Silver, Cosmic Orange, and Deep Blue.According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is currently testing a dark red body color for the iPhone 18 Pro alongside several traditional options.
Previously, insiders had mentioned purple and brown versions, but Gurman believes these are simply variations of the red concept currently under testing.
In contrast, the company plans to use a classic color palette for its upcoming foldable iPhone model. The manufacturer is expected to forgo bright colors in favor of conservative options such as Space Gray or black, as well as silver or white.
The official launch of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is scheduled for September, while the foldable smartphone could hit the market somewhat later that same year.
